"Assimilation is the task of moving people from an awareness of your church to attendance at your church to active membership in your church." --Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Church
Getting Connected is often described in a variety of ways:
Knowing you belong . . are cared for . . are valued.
Feeling you are linked . . . engaged . . . related.
Sharing life with friends . . . people with similar values.
Once people have made their initial association, they need to have a sense of belonging and identification. This comes from participation with a group of like-minded or like-interested people. These groups might be weekly Small Groups, Sunday school or Bible classes or Activities such as choir, athletic teams or volunteers working with youth or some other ministry.
How do you oversee and manage all your varied small groups?
Either PC-based ACS People, which lets you create activity groups for your committees, music programs and athletic programs or ACS Attendance where you can set up classes to track participation.
